I used to dread Mondays...
NOW I SEE them as a FRESH start to the week and an opportunity to refocus my energy on my goals! I embrace Mondays but that doesn't always mean I jump out of bed excited when they arrive!
Today I woke up tired and sore from an extended run yesterday so I decided to sleep in a bit and just let my body get some extra rest. I decided to LET GO of some of my previously planned expectations for the morning because my body needed the extra down time today. It felt good and the rest of my day has been productive but calm as all 3 kids started back up with remote learning after the long weekend. It's back to mommy chef, custodian, tech support, bathroom helper, helper of multiplication facts, and whatever else is needed all day!!
I have been doing some counseling association stuff today and lots of coaching business stuff!! I am feeling so blessed that I can do all of this from home, flexibly, AND then later, carve out some time for a walk and quick workout from my program!
Are you a MONDAY dreader liked I used to be...or a MONDAY embracer?
It really does make such a difference when you shift your mindset to a POSITIVE outlook!!
If you are already an embracer, good for you! I am sure you already see the benefits of heading into the week with positivity and excitement! If you are a dreader...think about the reasons you are not a fan of Mondays...what can you do to change your thoughts and take on a more productive and positive approach??
One idea I have is to start that day by writing down 3 things you are grateful for! Thinking about these things will help you start off on the right foot! Another idea is to practice positive affirmations or mantras that you can recite to yourself to keep you feeling good!
